COLLEGE

How exactly will my Momentum Mentor assist me?

The Greenwood System 120™(GS 120™) Career Matching and Personality Report gives you the information you need to make big life decisions about your education and future career directions. Research tested and shown to be 85% effective with a 94.6% approval rating, the Greenwood System is the most reliable and valid career matching process available. Using the most up-to-date psychometric tests available, the Greenwood Systems produces reports that detail the four domains of Abilities, Interests, Values, and Personality. The intersection of these four domains is where the Greenwood System finds the best career matches. The GS 120™ identifies the top 10% of all careers for each individual profile. Let a Greenwood System Summative Report help you find your best career and educational path towards the future of your dreams!

A Momentum Mentor will walk with you as you complete each part of your college application. This will propel your admissions process and ensure you are ready to move on to the college-readiness assessments (TSIA 2).

Under the guidance of a Momentum Mentor, you will work in a self-paced online program to prepare you for the TSIA 2. Colleges use this assessment to determine appropriate placement in early college courses.

We’ve found that anxiety and unfamiliarity are often stumbling blocks that inhibit young adults from beginning their college journey. By creating and maintaining a personal relationship with your college advisor early on, you’re likely to feel more comfortable advocating for your specific learning needs throughout your entire college experience. Once you’ve established this relationship, personalized short term and long term degree planning will follow.

You will have dedicated time built into your schedule each week to work on any necessary college course work. A Momentum Mentor will be there for any desired tutoring and/or guidance through classwork or assessments. Independent work & study time will be highly encouraged.

CAREER

How exactly will my Momentum Mentor assist me?

The Greenwood System 120 Assessment uses the individual’s values, interests, and motivators to determine appropriate future career options. Each Momentum student will be given the assessment upon enrollment, and results will be shared with parents and students during a conference. Momentum staff uses these results to work with each student through career exploration and future planning.

We’re proud to highlight our partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission. Every Friday from 11am-1pm, a TWC representative will work closely with you individually and as a group to build the skills necessary to successfully navigate part-time or full-time work, and assist with long-term career planning.
