Philanthropy and giving back to the community are important concepts instilled in every Momentum participant. Whether it be through volunteer opportunities or seasonal service projects, Momentum students experience ways to make meaningful connections and change in the world around them.

The Momentum students engage in community outings in which they are encouraged to explore the world around them and are exposed to various situations that allow each student to develop the skills necessary to safely navigate real-world scenarios (i.e. trips to a grocery store, restaurant, or fitness center).

Additionally, these outings further instill aspects of independent living by helping the student learn to overcome situational obstacles to improve in areas such as task completion, social interaction and appropriate communication strategies beyond their comfort zone.
